Six Bermudians were among 1,593 couples who set a new Guinness World Record for the Largest Marriage Vow Renewal Ceremony aboard the MSC World America on February 20, 2026.

A spokesperson said, “Six Bermudians were part of a milestone event that set a new Guinness World Record for the Largest Marriage Vow Renewal Ceremony onboard a ship. The record-breaking ceremony took place on February 20, 2026, with 1,593 couples renewing their vows on the top pool deck of the MSC World America cruise ship.

“The event was part of Family Life’s 50th Ministry Anniversary and “Love Like You Mean It”s 15th cruise anniversary celebrations, with 2,600 couples [5,200 people] registered to participate. The six Bermudians, members of the “Heart-to-Heart” group, enjoyed a memorable 7-day cruise from February 14-21, 2026.

“The cruise ship had recently departed two Mexican ports when violence erupted in various locations following the Mexican army’s operation to kill powerful cartel leader “El Mencho”.

“The six Bermudians are part of a larger group that witnessed an unforgettable experience, celebrating love and commitment amidst a unique and joyous occasion!”
