Video: Alvernia Defeat Bermuda In Two Games
The Bermuda National Hockey Training Squad hosted the visiting Alvernia University women’s field hockey team for a two-game series at the National Sports Center, with Alvernia University winning both matches.

Alvernia University defeated the Bermuda National Training Squad 4-1 in the opening match. Ava Michael scored three penalty corner goals for Alvernia, initiating the scoring in the 23rd minute. Bermuda’s Izzy Pugh tied the game with a penalty corner goal in the 34th minute. Michael subsequently scored two additional goals, and Sarah Schaffer added a fourth goal for Alvernia in the 41st minute from a penalty corner.

In the second match, Alvernia University secured a 2-1 victory. Alvernia took the lead in the sixth minute with a penalty corner goal from Alessandra Stevens. Bermuda tied the match in the 29th minute when Jen Chisnall scored a field goal. Two minutes into the second half, Ava Michael scored from open play to secure the win for Alvernia.
