Tanker Diverts Due To Injured Crew Member
A tanker travelling to Greece diverted to Bermuda to disembark an injured crew member.
A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “Sunday 19th April, 10:50 am – RCC Norfolk contacted RCC Bermuda regarding an accident onboard the French registered LNG Tanker LNG Enterprize. The ship in a position 140 miles south of Bermuda had received telephone medical advice via MRCC Grenaiz regarding the injured ships cook. The ship decided to divert to Bermuda and safely disembarked the patient on Sunday evening to the pilot boat St George before continuing on passage to Greece.”
