Football: Bascome & Hornets Win Youth Titles

FC Bascome captured two titles and the Dandy Town Hornets secured a third as the Bermuda Football Association held its youth championship finals at Bernard Park.

Under 13 Tier II Final: Dandy Town Hornets 3, St. George’s Colts 1

The Dandy Town Hornets overcame an early deficit to defeat the St. George’s Colts and claim the Under 13 Tier II Championship. St. George’s took a 1-0 lead in the first minute of play through a goal by Kayden Harvey.

Dandy Town responded in the fifth minute with an equalizer from Chance Franks. Mazaii Tucker scored in the 27th minute to give the Hornets the lead before halftime. Gebre Vickers added a third goal in the 61st minute to conclude the scoring.

Dandy Town’s Kobe Deane was named Most Valuable Player, while Jack Walsh was recognized as the top performer for St. George’s.

Under 13 Tier I Final: FC Bascome 2, PHC Zebras 1

FC Bascome utilized two early goals to secure the Under 13 Tier I title against the PHC Zebras. Mason Barioni opened the scoring in the fifth minute, and Remi Furbert doubled the lead in the eighth minute.

The Zebras reduced the margin in the 57th minute with a goal from their MVP, Azai Burt. However, FC Bascome maintained the lead through the final whistle. Xavier Hildago was named MVP for FC Bascome for his defensive performance in goal.

Under 15 Final: FC Bascome 4, Warwick Football Academy 1

FC Bascome earned its second victory of the day with a 4-1 win over Warwick Football Academy in the Under 15 final.

Jeon Wolfe led the scoring with a hat-trick and was subsequently named the match MVP. Micah Doran contributed the fourth goal for Bascome. Ja’Zhari Ingham scored the lone goal for Warwick Football Academy and was recognized as his team’s standout player.
