Munya & Furbert Compete At Lake-Sumter
Bermudian athletes Amaris Munya and Zydon Furbert contributed to Montverde Academy’s performance at the Lake-Sumter Championships, where the girls’ team secured a podium finish.
Munya won the 800-meter championship, finishing in 2:23.43. Her victory helped the Montverde girls earn third place overall in a field of 13 teams.
In the boys’ competition, Furbert competed in the shot put, recording a throw of 9.40 meters to finish 20th. His performance contributed to an eighth-place finish for the Montverde boys’ team in the overall standings.
