Lady Stars, Bailey’s Bay, Chasers & Ballers Win
Netball Bermuda’s Summer League resumed at Bernard Park with wins for Lady Stars, Bailey’s Bay, Storm Chasers, and Allshores Ballers across Women’s Division and Coed Division action.
In the Women’s Division, Lady Stars defeated Tropical Storm 32-6. Lady Stars controlled the match throughout, with K’Xiyae Gibbons and Nahjae Rayner scoring 11 goals each and Sioma Rudo adding 10. Gibbons was named Most Valuable Player, Rayner was recognized as the top attacker, and Zindzi Edmead received defensive honors. For Tropical Storm, Nala Richardson scored five goals and Diya Steede added one. Elishae Smith was named the team’s Most Valuable Player.
In the Coed Division, Bailey’s Bay edged the Atlantic Aces 16-15. Charlene Bogle led Bailey’s Bay with nine goals, while Druw Bascome scored four and Kayla Burgess added three. Nwamiko Rock was named standout defender for Bailey’s Bay. For the Atlantic Aces, Charlotte Evans scored eight goals and was named Most Valuable Player.
Storm Chasers defeated RenRe 26-10. Antoine Williams scored 20 goals and was named Most Valuable Player. K’Xiyae Gibbons and Kibriyaa Boyles each added three goals. RenRe were led by Euan Rutherford, who scored all 10 of his team’s goals.
Allshores Ballers defeated Somerset 32-1. Sheldon Bahasosingh scored 19 goals, Micah Pond added five, and Zakiyah Durham scored three and was named Most Valuable Player.
