Hopkins, Narraway Finish In Top Six At CAC
Bermuda cyclists Kaden Hopkins and Nicholas Narraway produced a strong showing in the men’s individual time trial at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, with both riders placing inside the top six.
Hopkins narrowly missed out on a medal after finishing fourth in 49min 10.33sec, while Narraway secured sixth place in 50:03.41. Colombia’s Walter Vargas won the race in 47:13.46, with Mexico’s Edgar Cadena taking second in 48:59.68 and compatriot Sebastian Ruiz placing third in 49:07.07.

The Bermuda Bicycle Association said: “Bermuda can be incredibly proud of Kaden Hopkins and Nicholas Narraway following two strong performances in the individual time-trrial at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo.
“In sweltering conditions, Kaden delivered an outstanding ride to finish fourth in 49:10.33, missing the bronze medal by just 3.2 seconds.
“Nic also produced a strong performance, finishing sixth in 50:03.41 against a highly competitive international field.
“Both riders represented Bermuda with determination, composure and pride, and their results underline the strength of Bermudian cycling on the regional stage.
“A special thank you to Dave Collins, who supported Kaden and Nic throughout the event as team manager.
“Congratulations to both riders on representing Bermuda so well. We wish all of Bermuda’s remaining athletes every success as competition continues.”
