Somerset Win Ocean View Golf Tournament
Somerset defeated St. George’s 511-461 using the Stableford scoring system to win the Ocean View Cup Match Golf Tournament.
Somerset secured the 50-point victory through overall roster depth, claiming six of the top 10 individual finishing positions and sharing the top spot on the leaderboard.
Somerset’s Dwayne Pearman and Jonathan James finished tied for first place with 34 Stableford points each.
Mark Ray was the top finisher for St. George’s, tying for third place at 33 points alongside Somerset’s Darrin Lewis.
Diego McCallan placed fifth with 31 points for St. George’s, while Kyle Lightbourne of Somerset and Darriek Douglas of St. George’s tied for sixth with 30 points.
Damon Rabain and Ebonie Cox of St. George’s tied for eighth with 29 points. Somerset’s Steven Almeida and Quinton Sherlock shared 10th place with 28 points.
Somerset’s Earlston Wolffe and Eugene Richardson tied for 12th with 27 points. Kavon Trott, Marcelos Thomas, and Andrew Trott of Somerset tied for 14th with 26 points alongside St. George’s Henry Ascento.
Somerset’s Terryn Fray placed 18th with 25 points, while teammate Azeem Khan tied for 19th with 24 points alongside St. George’s duo Calvin Richardson and Richard Jones.
St. George’s golfers Phil Talbot, Alan Lugo, and Glen Baisden scored 23 points to tie for 22nd place with Somerset’s Donovan Livingston.
Garry Burgess placed 26th for Somerset with 22 points. Vincent Minors and Morgan Lightbourne of St. George’s tied for 27th with 21 points alongside Somerset’s Jeff Richardson and Michael Tucker.
Rahji Edness finished 31st with 20 points for Somerset. Lionel Cann and Bayon Robinson of St. George’s tied for 32nd with 19 points alongside Somerset’s Gary Peniston.
Anthony Bascome rounded out the field for St. George’s, placing 35th with 18 points.
