MX Unleashed To Honour Rickai Raynor
The MX Unleashed: International Riders motocross and freestyle event will honour the late Rickai “Pugi” Raynor at Southampton Rangers Sports Club on September 5.
Raynor, 28, died from injuries sustained when his boat collided with a yacht moored near White’s Island during the Bermuda Power Boat Association’s Hamilton Harbour Race series in June.
The event is organised by Jumpstart MX and The Give Back.
“We feel the weight of Pugi’s loss as the MX Unleashed team; but he would want us to push on,” organisers said.
“This show is for the youth, for the community and for Bermuda.”
The event will feature American Levi Farias and Frenchman Jason Rake, who will compete in an international freestyle motocross showdown.
Rake said: “Hi Bermuda, I give you an appointment on September 5 for a motocross freestyle show.
“I will be accompanied by another pilot. I come from France. I hope to see many of you there.”
Gates open at 3pm, with races and shows starting at 4pm, including PW50 exhibition races for 4 to 7-year-olds, King of the Corner classes [65cc and 85cc], Novice and Expert classes, Surron [electric bike] classes and the main event, featuring Farias and Rake.
