DeSilva-Andrade Competes At World Boccia
Bermudian athlete Yushae DeSilva-Andrade recorded her first defeat at the Seoul 2026 World Boccia Championships, falling 7-4 to China’s Yuan Yichu in a pool match in South Korea.
Competing in the BC1 women’s division at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Arena, DeSilva-Andrade stayed competitive throughout the four-end contest before Yuan pulled ahead late.
The result follows an opening preliminary round victory for DeSilva-Andrade, who earned a 9-4 win over Simona Blažková of the Czech Republic.
DeSilva-Andrade remains in contention for a place in the knockout stages as group play continues.
