Bermudian sailor Sebastian Kempe recorded third and second-place finishes on the second day of the Elimination Series at the 2026 ILCA 7 Men’s World Championship in Dún Laoghaire, Ireland.

The two top-three finishes moved Kempe into third place in the Silver Fleet and 50th overall with 121 net points after nine races.

Racing began at 12pm local time in approximately nine knots of wind. Conditions ranged from seven to 11 knots from the west, with near-flat water throughout the day. Rain and cloud during the morning gave way to partial sunshine for the later races.

Campbell Patton was scored RET in the opening Bronze Fleet race and received a DNE [disqualification not excludable] in the second race. Patton is 123rd overall with 250 net points.

Two further Elimination Series races are scheduled for Saturday, with the first warning signal planned for 12pm.
