Future Leaders Inducts 14 Young Bermudians
Future Leaders Bermuda celebrated the “successful induction of 14 outstanding young Bermudians” into their programme.
A spokesperson said, “Future Leaders Bermuda hosted its 2026 Future Leaders Summer Induction Programme Closing Ceremony on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the Bermuda College. Grounded in the powerful words of activist Assata Shakur — “I believe that to gain our liberation, we must come from the position of power and unity” — this year’s ceremony marked the successful induction of 14 outstanding young Bermudians into the movement.

“The cohort was supported by dedicated staff members Tonisha Key-Holmes [Head Teacher] and Malay Robinson [Youth Director], under the guidance of Programme Lead Seon Tatem [Assistant Director of Future Leaders Bermuda].
Keynote Address by Mr. Frankco Harris
“The ceremony featured an inspiring keynote address by Frankco Harris, a distinguished Bermudian criminologist, researcher, and policy professional. Drawing on his academic expertise and personal lived experience within the criminal justice system and recovery, Mr. Harris spoke to the transformational power of second chances, community support, and youth empowerment.
“Currently a DPhil candidate in Criminology at the University of Oxford—where his research explores the dynamics of gang violence in Bermuda—Mr. Harris holds degrees with top honours from the University of East London and the London School of Economics. A published author and scholar supported by prestigious awards including the Fessenden-Trott Postgraduate Scholarship, he actively serves on several charitable boards and acts as Co-Chair of the Junior Bermuda Society, bridging evidence-based policy and lived experience to advance social change.
