Kempe And Patton Competing In ILCA In Ireland
Bermuda sailors Sebastian Kempe and Campbell Patton completed their third qualifying race at the 2026 ILCA 7 Men’s World Championship in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland.
According to the provisional standings, Kempe is 69th overall after recording finishes of 22nd, 17th and 23rd in the yellow fleet.
With one discard now applying after three races, Kempe’s 23rd-place result is excluded from his net score, leaving him with 39 points.
Patton is 113th overall after placing 45th, 43rd and 24th in the blue fleet. His 45th-place finish is discarded, giving him a net total of 67 points.
Patton moved up from 132nd overall following the opening two races, while Kempe moved from 57th to 69th.
The championship features 141 sailors, with the results remaining provisional as qualifying competition continues.
In addition to Bermuda, the field also includes sailors from Argentina, Australia, the Bahamas, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, China, Hungary, India, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Saint Lucia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Seychelles, Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, Chinese Taipei, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Ukraine and the United States. Two additional competitors are entered as Individual Neutral Athletes.
