Rudy Bailey Tied For Lead At 2026 Comet Class
Bermudian sailor Rudy Bailey is tied on points for the lead after five races at the 2026 Comet Class Yacht Racing Association International Championship in Centreville, Maryland.
Bailey and Wick Dudley both have 11 net points in the 15-boat fleet, with Dudley ranked first and Bailey second on the tiebreak in the provisional standings.
Bailey recorded finishes of fourth, fourth, third, first and third, with one of his fourth-place finishes discarded from his net score.
Fellow Bermudian Gregory Wade sits 13th overall with 39 net points. Wade placed ninth in each of the opening three races before finishing 13th and 12th in races four and five, respectively, with his 13th-place result discarded.
The championship is being hosted by the Corsica River Yacht Club and is scheduled to conclude on Sunday [August 30].
