Serjeant’s Cup Art Entry Deadline Today

Artists have until 4.00pm today [August 31] to enter the 2026 Serjeant’s Cup Marine Art Prize, hosted by the Bermuda Arts Centre at Dockyard.

The competition celebrates marine and nautical art, with artists invited to submit original works connected to the sea and Bermuda’s maritime environment.

Eligible subject matter includes boats and ships, harbours and waterfront activity, the open ocean, coastal architecture, maritime structures and island life shaped by the sea, with both traditional and contemporary approaches welcomed.

Each artist may submit one piece, with no size restriction. Entrants must be current members of the Bermuda Arts Centre, and artwork must be professionally prepared and ready to hang.

The Serjeant’s Cup and accompanying cash prizes will be presented during an awards reception at the Bermuda Arts Centre on Sunday, September 6 at 5.00pm.

The Cup was donated by David Baldwin, RVM, Serjeant of the Vestry of Their Majesties’ Chapel, to commemorate the 400th anniversary of St. Peter’s Church and Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
