The police released the latest crime statistics which revealed that total crime is down 10% while sexual assaults have increased, residential burglaries fell but tourist accommodation burglaries increased, 825 people were arrested and that police conducted 1,127 stop-n-searches. 2012 Q2: $3.2 Million Worth Of Drugs Seized
An estimated 49.6kg [109lbs] of controlled drugs with an estimated street value of $3.2 million was seized by police in the second quarter of 2012 The statistics show seizures from 1 April 2012 to 30 June 2012.
