Bermuda’s Menuhin Foundation celebrates its 35th Anniversary in 2011 — and to mark the occasion the music school will be bringing Australian/British string quartet BOND to the island for your ears only.
Four brilliantly talented, versatile and internationally recognised performers, since BOND was formed in 200 they have demonstrated that string instruments are more than just for staid classics.
Specialising in popular classical cross-over selections, BOND is the best-selling string quartet of all time with more than four million CDs sold.
Some of the BOND girls albums have achieved the rare feat of topping both the classical and pop music charts simultaneously.
As edgy and eclectic as they are winsome and winning, their concerts are considered must-see performances around the world.
BOND will be performing in Bermuda on March 19, 2011 at the Fairmont Southampton and immediately after the show the audience will be treated to an after party styled a la James Bond’s “Casino Royale” compelete with gaming tables and a disco.
