2011 KPMG Invitational Mile Traffic Advisories

The Police have issued a traffic advisory for the 2011 KPMG Invitational Mile which will take place tomorrow.

Friday 14th January 2011

In connection with the staging of the KPMG Invitational Mile running races and a musical display by the Bermuda Regiment Band and the Bermuda Islands Pipe Band, being held on the above date, the following traffic restrictions will be in effect in the City of Hamilton.

Roads Closed

Front Street – Between Queen Street and Parliament Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 6:00 p.m. and will re-open at 10:00 p.m.

Front Street – Between Parliament Street and the foot of Spurling Hill will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 6:30 p.m. and will re-open at 10:00 p.m.

Burnaby Street – Between Reid Street and Front Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 6:00 p.m. and will re-open at 10:00 p.m.

No Parking

There will be no parking from 4:00 p.m. at the following locations:

* Front Street on both sides of the road between Queen Street and Spurling Hill.
* Burnaby Street, on both sides between Reid Street and Front Street.

Patrons of the businesses along Front Street East are reminded that all vehicles must be promptly removed from that section of Front Street by 6:00 p.m.

No. 5 Car Park – No parking all day on Friday January 14th.

In addition, the Bermuda Police Service are authorised to ‘close-off’ streets or portions of streets as well as restrict and authorise parking as the Commissioner of Police stipulates.
