Two Suspects Arrested After Burglary

Following a burglary yesterday [Feb 9] in Hamilton parish, the Police arrested two men and also recovered some of the stolen property.

The unoccupied home was broken into during the day and cash, electronic items, jewelry and alcohol were stolen. Two suspects, aged 36 and 27, have been arrested in connection with this matter.

A Police spokesman said: “At 5:20pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Lynwood Drive, Hamilton parish residence. It appears that sometime between 8:10am and 5:10pm that day, an unknown culprit or culprits gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit(s) stole a quantity of cash, electronic items, jewelry and alcohol. Two suspects, a 36 year old Hamilton parish man and a 27 year old Sandys parish man, have been arrested in connection with this matter. Some of the stolen property was also recovered. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.”

    Well done to the BPS and any members of the public who might have assisted .
    People that do this need to be strung up by the n**z !

    I’ve been burgled a number of times and no-one’s ever been apprehended. I know just how unnerving incidents like this are.
    And please don’t tell me that times are tight and people are going to do what they have to do.
    These guys are not buying groceries and paying rent with the proceeds of their crimes.

    A message to the public … At least get insurance. And keep heirlooms in a safe somewhere else.
