It has only just begun… If our brothers extingush themselves, who will be there to protect us?? Serious changes need to be made!!!

  3. Mad Prophet says:

What the hell is happening to the youth? What happened to Bermuda?

    Vanity….total insanity! What about humanity!

This wait and see if someone will come and rescue me mentality has been transferred via DNA to the next generation….. Maybe our last generation????

  4. Yawn says:

    Damn

  5. itwasn'tme says:

no thanks to our 168K per year leaders denying that gangs were being organized, establishing territories and threatening to destroy our social status, we’re now playing catch up to the fallout of their stupidity. 10years since being warned and all they can do is wring their hands and voice their disgust. My 168K deserves more action than that.

    • interesting says:

Totally and 100% agree!!! Sad….. Very sad :s

    • LOL (original) says:

Thats only the pay of one Minister its way more than that. 168K its not yours anyway it the Governments they spend it as they see fit remeber Bermuda elected them to lead.

      LOL

      • Ya'll are just not smart enough says:

Just 10 years, nope they’ve been warned for the past 20 years…….Not just the PLP, but the UBP as well.

You know, when I was growing up we were worried about all the weed that all of a sudden started coming in. Now, with this new world with the gangster mentality in the music. All they idolize is money, drugs and all the bling. Morality, which Bermuda and her people had in abundance, is almost nowhere to be found. Tragic. All we did back then was play football and when we got sick of that we played cricket, tip-me-go-one. Simpler, happier days for sure.

    • LOL (original) says:

As Draggin and those old peeps that support Government say all the time the good old days are gone wonderfull isn’t it.

      LOL

    Let de bullets Breathe!

  8. Always a listener says:

The victims are getting younger and younger. What’s the answer? Where is all ofthis going to end.

    • Terry says:

The victimes are getting younger and younger because they are being used more.

The big boys are too scared to venture out so they send the soldiers to take care of minor problems and send messages to rivals.

You ain’t seen nothing yet. It’s all carefully rehersed and when the opportunity is right and the area vacant of witnesses….well you know the rest.

      Be safe.

      • Just Yell says:

I listened to my neighbor tell her teenage son that people in this country are getting old and stupid… And you wanna know why our youth are the way they are…

    • LOL (original) says:

The only answer is family support, keep them involved find out their interests and help them get into programs that are related. Other than that I don’t know. I do blame the UBP for making an island for old relics and totally forgetting the youth. The PLP has invested into sports but not everyone does the sports that were supported. What about marshall arts Bermuda used to be a power house in this area, swiming, boating, skating although I did not know it was a thing as Tony Hawk was hot years ago but I guess its coming back. Those are just a couple of things that could be looked into I’m sure some profit might be in it but at the end of the day the youth need more to do.

      LOL

      • Just Yell says:

What family? You call bring a child in this world after a one nightstand, not even knowing the person you just did it with. The child ends up never really knowing who his father is and mommy is always hanging on the low with her wanna be friends, which leaves the child/children on their own with so called friends who don’t have a clue about life. And now their caught up in this circle of confusion. I’m sorry but the community has to step in on this one or we all go down, the good with the bad…

  9. reality says:

I bet Caines never though he’d be up late nights this often giving police statements to the public.

  10. mixitup says:

I’ll say it again! Enact a Law that states iF you are convicted of shooting a Gun or stabbing someone you will have your fingers cut off.. I can asssure you that that would be a deterrent. With this murder case going on now, it’s obvious that time at WestGate doen’t matter to these ppl. But Everyone enjoys the use of their limbs. LET GET TOUGH!!!!! and stay way ahead of these goons!!

    • LOL (original) says:

This is the human right years make them stay longer and put them to work. Non of this 1/3 of the time then release them bs. While they are in there reabilitate them and expect high standards with psyclogical reviews every six to ten weeks. The three striks plan from the UBP in 2007 would have been a good start but it would have to have the elements mentioned above.

      LOL

      • Grizz says:

please don’t bring up the 3 strikes plan…absolute garbage!!

  11. Malcolm X says:

Fingers off YESS i agree 100% absolute 0 tollerance for those that are trying to turn our paradise into a war-zone. These young men need an outlet to release their anger. They need to be entertained- idol minds are the Devil’s Playground. If these kids had a youth center to go to they wouldn’t be shooting and fighting. Govenment DO YOU HEAR ME!!!

    CAN’T BLAME THE YOUTH

    • Ya'll are just not smart enough says:

Plenty of youth centers on the island. What will really make your head scratch is that a good handful of these guys already went to the youth centers at some point in there lives!

  13. Perfectpearl says:

You all really need to know when it all started. It started when children were allowed to have chilren, it started when when poeple started to tell us how to discpline our children, it started when we took GOD out of our homes and school. It started when people were more concern about what they had and/or when they looked liked.
GOD MUST BE FIRST IN OUR LIVES. Lets get back to the basis. Dont’t do to one that you don’t want to happen to you!!!!

  14. Terry says:

Good point Chris. But remember, the “genie’ granted wishes and it appears they have been misused.

Time to put the cork back in the bottle, and therein lies the irony of wishing and not contributing.

As can be seen on other threads here on Bernews where threats are made against people, me inclusive about walking through neighborhoods. This is real shit and if it’s directed at me imagine what others whom do not live in the area must feel (sic ..bullets) and death.

I hate to see Bernews being used as catalist by some to turn people off via threats. It started out over territory gang wise. Once the deaths and retaliation occured it now “Tit-for-tat” and has esculated beyond turf for whatever illegal activity took/takes place.

Lets be fair and use common sense. You just don’t drive around shooting people for the hell of it; ( gang eniciation, yes) but we have already crossed that. Just looks at the stats.

The community must take back the streets and neighborhoods. Living of the profits of illegal gains takes it’s toll. Maybe not today but sooner than you think.

My Mother always said your know by the company you keep. This “Company” is way bigger than most of local companies that have failed but they did’nt take us all with them in their downfall regardless of how it happened.

    This Company will.

    A great day too all.
