Registration Open: Hospitality Career Expo

November 30, 2011

The Bermuda Hospitality Institute will host its second annual Hospitality Career Expo at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess on Saturday, December 17th from 9am to 2pm.

Building upon last year’s success, the BHI will be expanding their program for the 2011 Expo to encompass more age groups and different sectors of the industry.

While some of the program formats will be familiar to last year’s attendees, there will be all new panel discussions, breakout sessions, topics and a separate program just for children ages 8 to 13.

These special kids sessions provide a preview to the BHI’s Hospitality Skills = Life Skills program that will start in selected schools in 2012. They will feature interactive, hands-on hospitality stations, goodie bags and more.

For ages 14 to 17, and adults, the Expo will cover topics such as business ethics and Bermudian culture and engagement during the workshop sessions, and discuss Hospitality career opportunities during the panels and breakout sessions.

In addition industry careers will be showcased by nearly two dozen businesses, there will be chefs presentations, career information and guidance and networking opportunities.

To enjoy all the workshops and sessions you must register. Registration is open from the 30th of November and the first 200 people to register will receive complimentary breakfast and lunch. Registration is free. To learn more and/or register for the Hospitality Career Expo, visit www.bhi.bm, or call 295-5049.
