Bermuda’s ‘Most Wonderful Time’

December 1, 2011

It’s the most wonderful time of the year in Bermuda — and veteran entertainer Chris Broadhurst today [Dec.1]  released a Bermudianised version of the classic Christmas song to prove the point.

The Bermudian singer/songwriter’s local take on “The Most Wonderful Time Of  The Year” — a festive season perennial since Andy Williams’ recorded the number in 1963 — is replete with references to cassava pie, late-night shopping in Hamilton and the annual Bermuda Musical & Dramatic Society Society’s Christmas pantomime.

Mr. Broadhurst said he was putting the song into circulation by way the of the Internet because “Bermuda needs a positive pick-me-up.”

You can listen to the song here.
