Three People Arrested: Suspicion Of DUI

Three people were arrested early Friday morning [Nov 16] on suspicion of impaired driving.

Around 3:10am police officers on mobile patrol along Crow Lane in Pembroke observed a motorcycle being ridden erratically out of the City of Hamilton. They pursued the rider and stopped the motorcycle. The rider, a 42 year old Southampton man, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and failed the alco-analyser test.

Around 2:30am police officers observed a motorcycle being ridden along Front Street in an “erratic manner.” The rider, a 35 year old Pembroke woman, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and detained after failing the alco-analyser test.

Around 1:10am police officers observed a car being driven erratically through South Road in Southampton near the junction with Lighthouse Road. The officers subsequently stopped the car and approached the driver, a 43 year old Warwick man, who appeared to be intoxicated and was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and detained.

The police said a court appearance for all three people is anticipated in due course.
