Adult Education School To Host Silent Art Auction

February 14, 2013

On February 28th, the Adult Education School will hold a Cocktail Reception and Silent Art Auction at Goslings Wine Cellar from 6pm – 9pm. The event is entitled Transformation II to reflect the school’s mission to transform lives through education and it is being held under the distinguished patronage of Justice Ian  Kawaley.

With commitments from over 25 local artists who have generously agreed to donate pieces for the auction, this promises to be a first-class event in support of the Adult Education School. There will be an interesting variety of media on offer including oils, pastels, photography, glass-works, mosaic, cedar and jewelry.

Advance tickets for the event cost $40, tickets at the door on the night will be $50 and include drinks and hors d’ouevres. The Adult Education School said they wanted to acknowledge the generosity of the artists who are donating their work without regard for re-numeration for this event.

“Each piece has taken a lot of time and effort on the part of the artist and we are very grateful that they consider the school worthy of their contributions. Without them, this wonderful event would be unable to take place. We are deeply appreciative of the support in our mission to transform lives and build community.” the School said.
