technology usb computer internet globe generic[Updated] The Bermuda NET User Group will be hosting a presentation by Ramon Bosch from Microsoft at an upcoming event next month [Apr 23]

Being held from at the Argus Building on Wesley Street from 5.30-8 p.m., Mr. Bosch will be sharing his thoughts about Distributed Version Control, but as a self-described “technology evangelist”, it’s not all about Team Foundation Server — he’ll be discussing Git, too.

For more than 15 years Mr. Bosch has helped organisations make better decisions about building software. He has managed high performance engineering teams and delivered mission critical systems for corporations across Europe, South America and the Middle East, and has enjoyed building process integration and service oriented architectures for more than a decade. His vision and expertise in enterprise solutions delivery and operation have driven achievements for customers across diverse sectors.

In 2005 Mr. Bosch co-founded raona, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner dedicated to delivering software engineering services and mentoring in Europe and South America and went on to co-found conn3cta in 2007, to provide leading-edge mission-critical IT consulting majoring on Microsoft technologies to organisations in the Arab Gulf states. After conn3cta’s merger with Quest Middle East, Ramon continued to deliver solutions that employed the Microsoft .NET platform, and drove a strong delivery team focused on service excellence.

Mr. Bosch has been a member of the Microsoft Partner Advisory Council for Information Workers in the LATAM region as well as a chartered speaker on the regional INETA Speaker Bureau. Ramon appears regularly at conferences to speak on software development methods and trends and has also been actively involved with academic institutions such as La Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, La Universidad Tecnológica Nacional de Argentina and S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research. He has been writing articles for a number of years for various magazines publications, including “CIO Magazine” and Windows IT Pro.

Currently Ramon is a Developer Tools regional lead with Microsoft’s Developer and Platform Evangelism team.

A spokesperson for the Bermuda NET Users Group said she was delighted that Argus, Burrows and Lightbourne, Buzz and Nova are continuing to support these public events to keep them free.
