Is this the guy that took Bush to task in the Caymans ?I hope he is in bda for other reasons than a courtesy call !!!!!

    • Gnasher says:

Er, no. Don’t start thinking we have a major player on our shores, although this guy is good, much better than the twit Henry Bellingham, who previously had the role. It sort of has to be a courtesy call though. I mean what does Bermuda want? It wants the ability to travel on a British/Bermudian passport, it wants governance aid on police etc, but it doesn’t want interference, so you can’t have it both ways. He’s here to kick tyres and shake hands. That’s all.

I am so tired of these British officials coming to Bermuda and saying absolutely nothing !!!!!!!!!!!!!

A British Trojan Horse that is what the vist of the British Over seas territory minister is all about. Britain is going to look after it’s own
national interests. How long do you think that a Britain strap for government tax money and just today escape from going into a third reccession; going to allow British companies and/or citzens enjoy the benifit of setting up in a low tax regime like Bermuda? I don’t care how many agreements of co-operations we sign; they will still keep comming for more. there is a great desire on the part of these cash strapped nations with thier massive budget deficits to close down low tax regimes like Bermuda and if you listen carefully you can hear them more and more expressing that desire openly. But we in Bermuda continue to delude ourselves; even while the British and the Americans have force us to make more and more disclosures concerning the economic activities of thier citzens. Whittle the economic future of our country yet while we still sleep.

Brenda, you need some help girl.

      • Thank you for appreciating such, Collins… while it will be of no benefit to this near 80-year-old 29-year postoperative male-to-female transsexual Bermudian contentedly ensconced in Britain since being driven beyond Bermuda’s socio-economic pale with impunity near twenty-three years ago… it is on behalf of all my gender-variant peers be they (transgender, transsexual, cross-dressers, or intersex) covert or overt on Bermuda that I would very much appreciate all the support we are able to garner to ensure that their protection from discrimination with impunity be properly included in the OBA attorney general’s promise to favourably address certain discriminatory parts Bermuda’s present Human Rights laws… particularly as sexual orientation and gender-identity are individually separate and distinct entities that need be regarded and legislated as such in much needed amendments to not only Bermuda’s present gay but gender-variant omissive Human Rights law…

        Thank you…
