Warwick Long Bay Makes CNN’s Top 100 List

May 29, 2013

Warwick Long Bay has been named in CNN’s “World’s 100 Best Beaches” list, which was published today [May 29].

CNN placed the Bermuda beach as #29 and said, “You can spend hours here just watching the waves froth under the horizon over the coral-pink sand. If that gets irritatingly blissful there are great walking routes from here to Bermuda’s southern beaches, offering secluded coves.

“Worth knowing: It gets crowded in high season, so if your ideal beach experience is solitary and tranquil, it’s best visited outside of May-September.”

  1. GerriRose says:

Love that beach! And CNN are wrong; Even May – September (except for public holidays) the beach is rarely crowded. The tourist only seem to know about Horseshoe Bay, so only a few usually make it this far. Next busiest beach is usually Elbow.

    • Just One says:

Exactly, where did they “hear” that it’s crowded? It’s Bermuda’s largest “untouched” beach and I actually love the fact that it has no concession stand… It’s very peaceful most of the summer, so let’s keep it that way!

  2. a swimming onion says:

It’s the loveliest beach in Bermuda . . . the pink sand is prevalent & it is not commercial, thank God! However, because of it size it is rarely crowded like Elbow & Horseshoe . . . Warwick Long Bay is definitely Bermuda’s most beautiful beach.

    • Sir George Somers says:

The best untouched, beach on the island is down Coopers Island in the old NASA base, untouched because no cars and ppl have to walk to it!

      • Sir George Somers says:

And the two beaches down billionaires row in Tuckers town are amazing! No one there at all, if you can sneak pass the security guard

        • Come Correct says:

          1) Jobsons Cove is one of the most beautiful places on the island.

          2) Tell ya boy (security guard) ya gonna buss a flex wit ya bredrin Doyce on the beach.

          3) Take your car on any beach in Bermuda and good luck getting it off. lol

  3. pickle juice says:

This beach needs some entertainment. A Dry Bar at minimum! Not some bush setup under an umbrella but a legit air conditioned hydration and munchie station

  4. Jeff Sousa says:

As the Member of Parliament for Warwick West constituency #28 where much of this gorgeous beach is located I am delighted with this news.
And on a personal note six generations of my family have swam and enjoyed the tranquility of this gem in Warwick.

  5. John Dale says:

This is one of our best keep secrets, a great vista from above, now everyone will be going. That’s good, its long enough! It would take thousands to fill it though. Enjoy ! It’s the pinkest !

  6. mixitup says:

Warwick Long Bay is a magnificent beach. it would be nice to have a concession offering and it certainly needs lifeguard coverage as does John’s Smiths Bay.

  10. Absolutely fabulous beach.
Always very quiet and lovely deep water, great for
diving off the rocks adjoining Jobsons Cove.
    Truly stunning !
