Medical Emergency Forces Airplane To Divert

American Airlines Flight 413 diverted to Bermuda this morning [July 3] after a medical emergency was reported on board the aircraft.

Emergency services met the aircraft at the LF Wade International Airport on its arrival and boarded to tend to the patient.

Flight 413 was enroute from New York to San Juan, Puerto Rico when it diverted to the island and arrived at approximately 10.00am.

An attending ambulance transported the patient to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment and the flight departed at approximately 11.45am.
