Photos: Island Games Sailboarding Kicks Off

[Updated with video] Athletes from six different islands took to the waters off the Spanish Point Boat Club on Sunday [July 14] as the NatWest Island Games sailboarding contest got underway.

The visiting islands competing in sailboarding are Alderney, Menorca, Jersey, Guernsey and the Cayman Islands, while Alex Jones and Scott Mello are in action for Bermuda. After the first day of racing Tim Laine from Guernsey is in first place, while Bermuda’s Alex Jones is in second and Scott Mello is in eighth.
