BCB Premier Cricket Division Weekend Results

A number of cricket games took place this past weekend [Aug 17/18], with Willow Cuts, St. David’s Cricket Club, Southampton Rangers, Western Stars, St. George’s Cricket Club and Bailey’s Bay all recording wins.

Willow Cuts Win by 179 Runs: Willow Cuts 215 PHC 36

At the PHC Stadium, Willow Cuts batted first and scored 215, Dwight Basden was the top scorer with 60, while Charles Simons returned bowling figures of 10-0-39-3.

In reply PHC were bowled all out for 36, only opener Kevin Dill reached double figures with 10, while Malachi Jones returned figures of 9-2-11-6 and Sheroy Fubler had figures of 4-1-10-3.

St. David’s Win by 12 Runs: St. David’s 233/5 Cleveland County 221

A nail-bitter took place at Lord’s in St. David’s as the Premier Division League Leaders St. David’s Cricket Club recorded a 12 run victory. Batting first the host scored 233/5, with Fiqre Crockwell the top scorer with 108 not out, Allan Douglas Jr. was the pick of the Cleveland County bowlers returning figures of 10-2-39-3.

In reply Douglas Jr. scored 82, but he could not help Cleveland reach the target as they were bowled all out for 221, George O’Brien Jr. was the pick of the St. David’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 10-2-48-3.

Southampton Rangers Win by 242 Runs:  Rangers 311/9 Devonshire Recreation Club 69

Southampton Rangers won the toss and elected to bat, with the season nearing completion Southampton Rangers were looking for as much points as they could get, they scored 299/9 and were awarded 12 penalty runs making their total 311/9. Captain Dion Stovell was the top scorer with 77, while Curtis Jackson added 57, Lamont Brangman was the pick of the Devonshire Recreation Club bowlers with figures of 10-1-34-3.

In reply the Devonshire Recreation Club were bowled all out for 69, Sean Perinchief was the top scorer with 18, Derrick Brangman was the pick of the Southampton Rangers bowlers with figures of 9-1-20-5, while Janeiro Tucker returned figures of 10-3-25-3.

Western Stars Win by 111 Runs: Western Stars 178 Warwick Workman’s 67

At the St. John’s Field, Wayne Campbell scored 34 runs as Western Stars scored 178 all out in 41.4 overs. Chae Smith was the pick of the Warwick Workman’s Club bowlers with figures of 9.4-1-36-4, while Jordan Hill bowled 7-0-29-3.

In reply Warwick Workman’s were bowled all out for 67, Lionel Cann was the top scorer with 25, while Seth Campbell returned bowling figures of 10-3-25-4to lead the Western Stars to victory, while Brian Hall had figures of 7-1-9-3.

St. George’s Cricket Club Win by 4 Wickets: Flatt’s Victoria 206 St. George’s  209/6

At the Wellington Oval, Flatt’s Victoria won the toss and elected to bat, they were bowled all out for 206, Cofield Robinson was the top scorer with 84 not out, while Nelson Bascome added 45. St. George’s Cricket Club captain Oronde Bascome was the pick of the bowlers returning figures of 6-1-31-4, while Onias Bascome bowled 8-2-26-3.

In reply St. George’s Cricket Club scored 209/6, with captain Bascome the top scorer with 91, while Macai Simmons added 42, Kijuan Franks was the pick of the Flatt’s bowlers with figures of 10-1-75-3.

Bailey’s Bay Win by 151 Runs: Bailey’s Bay 228/9 Somerset Bridge 77

At the White Hill Field, Rodney Trott scored 58 runs to lead Bailey’s Bay to a total of 228/9 in their 50 overs, Sinclair Smith added 53. Derreck Hill was the pick of the Somerset Bridge bowlers with figures of 9-0-27-3.

In reply Ryan Shepard scored 34 and Donnie Charles added 16, they were the only two batsmen in double figures as the Somerset Bridge were bowled all out for 77. Nihrobi Carmichael was the pick of the Bailey’s Bay bowlers with figures of 5-1-18-5.
