Outerbridge, Western Stars Win Cricket Award
he Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] announced the winner of the weekly Chivas Cricket Sportsman Award [CCSA] for week 10 is Stephen Outerbridge.
A spokesperson said,”Stephen Outerbridge displayed excellent sportsmanship on Sunday 28 July, by allowing George O Brien to play as reserve for St. David.”
The BCB also announced that the winner of the award for week 11 is the Western Stars Team.
The spokesperson added,”Western Stars played the game vs Willow Cuts, one of the top teams in the league, with only nine players and in spite of the one-sidedness of the scores and the outcome of the game, the Stars players were a constant source of encouragement and motivation to each other, demonstrating trueunity and team spirit. The team conducted themselves well within the Spirit of the Game.”
