September 23, 2013

‘The Cathedral of African Methodism in Bermuda’ will this coming week mark 128 years as an AME Church in Bermuda, with historic St. Paul set to kick-off a week of activities.

On Monday [Sept 23] at 12:30pm there will be an open “lunch & learn” workshop conducted by Executive Assistant Rev. Judith Gardner. She will focus on the topic of practical witnessing with an emphasis on the communal responsibility of Christians to help those less fortunate and in need of being built up.

On Wednesday [Sept 25] the sanctuary will resound with the sound of music as the organ, piano and other instruments provide a lunchtime recital in celebration of the Church’s rich musical heritage. From 12:30pm to 1:30pm all are welcome, with featured artists to include Mr. Cecil G. Smith MMus, St. Paul’s organist and Mr. Raymond George, piano.

“Achieving social justice in Bermuda’s business-centric economy” will be theme of a public forum in Centennial Hall on Thursday, 26th September starting at 7:30pm. Join a distinguished panel for a discussion on real economic issues affecting real people.
