BHF Ladies’ KnockOut Cup Winners Crowned
Following last week’s semi-final matches, the Bermuda Hockey Federation [BHF] saw its Ladies A and B teams wrap up the KnockOut Cup playoffs yesterday [May 4], with the Budgies A and Ravens B each earning their title by scores of 3-2.
Budgies A: 3 – Ravens A: 2
In the Ladies’ A KnockOut Cup final, the Budgies got goals from Tse Minors on a penalty corner in the 19th minute and Keishae Robinson, who executed penalty corners in the 40th and 67th minutes.
The Ravens responded with goals from Jennifer Adderley on a penalty corner in the 34th minute and Ashley Pimentel on a penalty corner in the 36th minute, but the Budgies held on to take the match by a score of 3-2.
Ravens B: 3 – Budgies B: 2
In the Ladies’ B KnockOut Cup final, it was the Ravens who secured a win over the Budgies with goals from Megan Troake in the 54th and 56th minutes and another from Leah Wright in the 66th minute, taking the match from the Budgies after they opened with goals from Akilah Beckles in the 12th minute and Jaselle Smith in the 26th minute.
