Video: OBA Donates To Two Local Charities
The One Bermuda Alliance has donated part of the money it raised during their FunRaiser event, held at Turtle Hill Golf Club on April 5, 2014, to two Bermuda charities, including the Women’s Resource Centre and SCARS.
At a presentation ceremony held yesterday [May 14], OBA Chairman Thad Hollis said, “It is a great pleasure on behalf of the One Bermuda Alliance to inform you that we had a fundraiser, a golf tournament back on the fifth of April, in which we invited our supporters and members to come out and have some fun.
“The purpose of that was to raise money, not only for the party, but also for charity as has been a commitment of the One Bermuda Alliance.
“This is also an opportunity to profile two very, very worthwhile charities that support the vulnerable in our community: Women’s Resource Centre and SCARS. And it is our pleasure that, as a result of that very successful event on the fifth of April, we’re able to give a donation of $2,500 to each of these very worthwhile charities that are very near and dear to all of our hearts.”
