“Days after offering postpaid customers 150 free minutes of international talk time, an exciting partnership with Buzz gives all Digicel customers the opportunity to avail of a free coffee this week,” the company announced today [Oct 29].
Alistair Beak, CEO of Digicel Bermuda advises; “As part of our network restoration celebration and to extend our sincere gratitude for our customer’s patience during the process, we decided to treat all customers to a coffee.
“We chose to partner with Buzz which has many convenient locations across the island making the chain quite accessible for majority customer participation.”

Digicel customers can expect to receive a text message from the company, which they simply need to show at any Buzz location to redeem a free coffee on the valid date of claim.
“So as not to overwhelm Buzz staff and disrupt business too much, we opted to segment our customer base such that only a portion of customers will receive the message on any given day through October 31st 2014.
“All customers can expect to receive a text message over the course of the next couple of days advising them of this token of our appreciation, adds Mr. Beak.
Though the offer is for a medium sized cappuccino or latte which is normally valued at $3.95, customers can also chose to redeem a regular coffee or tea in lieu.

I don’t mean to sound ungrateful, but I don’t make long distance calls nor do I drink coffee. So how about a rebate on a portion of my bill, seeing as I had little to no service and continue to experience problems….or did I miss that memo! Don’t bother to send me a text!
