Halloween: Police Thank Public For Cooperation

November 3, 2014

Negative behaviour on Halloween continues to steadily decrease each year, the Police said today, and extended their thanks to the public for their cooperation during the Halloween weekend.

A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their cooperation during the Halloween weekend. While there were a few reported incidents involving the throwing of objects, mostly eggs, there were no reported injuries and minimal damage caused.

“Negative behavior on Halloween continues to steadily decrease each year and the community as well as our community partners are to be commended for working with the police to create a positive, proactive atmosphere with a zero tolerance approach regarding anti-social behavior.

“We would especially like to highlight the youth that made a choice not to engage in anti-social behavior while participating in Halloween. We applaud their positive response, along with the increased vigilance by residents in their respective neighborhoods.
