CableVision, Church To Host Christmas Lunch

December 18, 2014

Bermuda CableVision is renewing its holiday tradition of teaming up with The Hamilton Seventh Day Adventist Church to host a Christmas Day luncheon for families and residents who may not otherwise be able to enjoy such a meal.

This is the fourth consecutive year that CableVision is sponsoring the luncheon, which will be held from 1 pm – 3 pm on Thursday, December 25th at the Hamilton Seventh Day Adventist Church on King Street. The spacious church hall can seat up to 200 families.

The traditional Christmas menu will feature roast turkey and all the trimmings, an array of side dishes, savoury vegetarian recipes and an assortment of holiday desserts.

As in prior years, CableVision will purchase and prepare the food, and its employees will assist church members in serving the meals.

“Christmas is the most wonderful time of year, but for some, it can be a reminder of what they lack. We believe the spirit of Christmas includes everyone, and enjoying a fine holiday meal in the company of warm, caring people is something that all members of our community should experience on this special day,” says Terry Roberson, CEO of Bermuda CableVision.

“We are particularly grateful to the Hamilton Seventh Day Adventist Church for recognising this and renewing this tradition, which we are proud to support once again. We look forward to sharing a time of fellowship and joy with all those who join us this Christmas Day.”

“On behalf of the Hamilton Seventh-Day Adventist Church, I would like to express our thanks to CableVision for their ongoing support of this traditional Christmas event,” says Pastor Kenneth Manders. “This is a wonderful opportunity for us to share God’s love and blessings, and to make certain that no one is left out on this special day.

We look forward to extending a warm welcome to our guests and to sharing the joy of Christmas with them.”

Volunteers and interested persons who wish to find out more or reserve a space are invited to phone the church office at 292-4276.
