62 Year Old Man Dies Following Collision

1-012[Updated] The police have now confirmed the death of 62 year old Timothy Wright of Warwick following a two vehicle collision in Pembroke, marking the first road fatality of 2015.

A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 62 year old Timothy Wright of Warwick following a two vehicle collision in Pembroke.

“Mr Wright was taken to KEMH where he later died as a result of his injures. The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Wright.

“A Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to the Wright family to assist them during this difficult time and a full investigation into this fatal collision is underway.

“This marks the first road fatality of 2015.”

The follows shortly after the death of 19 year old Stephen Chioke Edwards, who died following a motorcycle collision that took place in Devonshire on December 30th.

Update Jan 5th: Police have made an amendment; saying that their initial classification of the death of Mr. Timothy Wright following a collision on New Year’s Eve in 2014 as the first for 2015 was incorrect, and his death is actually classified as the 16th for 2014, as it is noted by the date of the collision.
