Photos: George Duckett Memorial Rugby Match

The George Duckett Memorial Rugby Match was held this past weekend, with a host of rugby games on tap.

The Men’s 1st XV saw the Police record a 29 – 25 victory over President’s XV, with the Police getting three tries from Paul Davis, and penalties and conversions from Mike Kane, while the President’s XV got tries from Steven Husband, Bennett Gibson and Peter Dunkerly, while Rich Cumbers contributed penalties and conversions.

In the Women’s 1st Team Match, the Police beat The Rest 5 – 4, with the Police benefiting from Mika Tomita [2], Lauren Hayes, Lareine Prinsloo, and Saphia Charters.

The Rest was carried by Aleisha James, Jess Cassidy, Amanda Swan, and Caroline Amberhart.

In the Men’s 2nd XV, the Police fell to the Vice-President’s XV 26 – 12, with the Police getting tries from Adriaan Van Der Merwe and Ralshon Douglas and cons from Adam Farrell [1], while Jahniko Francis [3] and Patrick Calow had tries, and Phill Hall had three cons.

In the Women’s 2nd the Police tied the Rest 1-1, with efforts from Steph Cracknell and Daysha Smith.
