Video: SMASH Table Tennis Hosts New Course

SMASH! Table Tennis Club has been busy over the last week, hosting the first Olympic Solidarity funded course in Bermuda, put on by the Bermuda Table Tennis Association and the International Table Tennis Federation Level 1 coaching course.

The course was conducted by Olympic table tennis coach Christian Lillieroose, who arrived in Bermuda on January 16, 2015. On the night of Mr. Lillieroose’s arrival, SMASH captured his review of their club.

A spokesperson said, “For the last two days, SMASH has also had a training camp for young people in preparation for the Bermuda Sports Federation Middle and High School Table Tennis Tournament taking place on January 27 and 28, 2015 at SMASH.

“Many of the children that participated received their International Table Tennis Federation bronze medal skills award certificates. Congratulations to all of the medal winners, including Kairo Morton, Samir Tavares, Ben Dill, Sebastian Dill, Jaire Lawrence-Salaam, Ja’Kee Simons, Darien Williams, Jacob Matthews, and Jehziyh Rawlins.”
