PLP’s Condolences To Dr. Bridgewater’s Family

February 27, 2015

[Updated] The Progressive Labour Party said they would like to express condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Vincent Bridgewater, former UBP Parliamentarian, and well known Bermudian dentist.

A spokesperson said, “We hope that his family and friends are comforted by their memories of him and his contributions to our island.”

Update: Former Premier Dr. Ewart Brown said, “I considered “Vinnie” a close personal friend. In a country where friendships are often pre-determined by race and/or political affiliation, we proudly claimed our friendship which spanned almost 50 years.

“We lived in opposing political camps, but we were friends first. Vinnie, as we called him, was a unique character whose friends came from all walks of life. He was “real.” We shared wonderful times on and off the golf course, inside and outside our homeland.

“Bermuda will miss my friend. I will particularly miss his phone calls on Fridays inviting me to bring sufficient funds to Tucker’s Point for a round of golf! Wanda and I extend our sincere condolences to his family.”
