BCB Easter Cricket Camp Registration Now Open

March 6, 2015

Registration is now open for the Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] Easter Cricket Camp for girls and boys aged 7-13 during the Easter break from March 30 to April 7, 2015. The BCB is offering this camp at a rate of $150 for the duration.

The BCB Easter Cricket Clinic is based at the Berkeley School gym and field and will run from 8.30am through 5.30pm each day. The main purpose of the Easter camp is to teach the skills of cricket while enriching the lives of participating children by keeping them active over the break.

The camp incorporates skill building activities and games to build on the skills participants learn in practice. Each day the camp focuses on a character building skill such as respect or fairness, and players are encouraged to incorporate these skills into daily activities.

According to the BCB, among other positive comments, parents have previously said about the camp, “My son stated that he enjoyed the clinic and that he actually felt he had learnt more about cricket. He has expressed his desire to return next year.”

“The Summer Clinic was organised, kept parents informed and gave some variation in activity such as swimming, movies and the BBQ which was great.”

“The element of learning news skills in cricket remained forefront while still allowing some other elements to the clinic.”

The BCB says that participating children have said of the camp, “I like this camp because I always make new friends and learn lots about cricket.”

“I learned how to wear cricket clothing correctly and with pride when representing Bermuda, the names of the three stumps and four new fielding positions.”

“Three things I learned were how to hold a cricket bat correctly, always have your cricket shirt tucked in your pants on and off the field and the right way to bowl.”
