Video: Pallet Fire Extinguished At Camp Hill

[Updated with video] The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service attended a fire in the Camp Hill, Southampton area this evening [April 16] near the Middle Road junction.

The BFRS said, “At approximately 9:28 pm on Thursday, April 16, 2015, the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service [BFRS] responded to a report of a confirmed fire on Camp Hill Road, Southampton.”

Fire Service spokesperson, Sergeant Jamal Albuoy, reported “BFRS responded to the incident with an appliance from Port Royal Station with a total of 4 personnel. On our arrival, a pile of 20 wooden pallets measuring approximately 20 feet by 30 feet were well alight.

“Two firefighters dressed in Breathing Apparatus quickly extinguished the blaze and prevented it from spreading to other plants and shrubbery. They secured the scene by wetting down the surrounding areas. The cause of the fire is under investigation.”

    This fire didn’t start by itself and I hope that the Police are investigating who the culprit(s) are.
