Photos: Budgies & Swallows Field Hockey Game

In recent ladies field hockey action, the Budgies defeated the Swallows 6 – 0, while the Canaries defeated the Wildcats 5 – 1.

Budgies 6 Swallows 0

The Budgies continued their early season form, with this 6 – 0 win over the Swallows. They took the lead in the 16th minute when Jaselle Davis scored a Field Goal, the lead was doubled in the 25th minute when Taylor Mullen scored a Field Goal, six minutes later Francesca Cacace scored a Field Goal.

Sarah Tufts got in on the Field Goal scoring act in the 46th minute, with Milan Wall-Burgess scoring a 56th minute Field Goal to make the score 5 – 0. The final goal of the game came off the stick of Jennifer Beech as she converted from a Penalty Stroke in the 62nd minute.

Canaries 5 Wildcats 1

Abigail MacEachin opened the scoring for the Canaries in the 6th minute from a Penalty Corner, Grace Edy doubled the Canaries lead with a Field Goal in the 30th minute.

It 3 – 0 to the Canaries in the 46th minute when Nicole Andreasen converted from a Penalty Stroke, MacEachin scored her second goal of the game and her team’s fourth in the 65th minute converting a Field Goal, two minutes later a Field Goal off the stick of Claudine Pullen extended the Canaries lead to 5 – 0, but Zuri Philip would put the Wildcats on the board with a Field Goal in the 69th minute.
