Photos, Video & Results: DTC Dog Agility Trials

[Updated with video + results] The Dog Training Club of Bermuda is holding their Dog Agility Trials this weekend, with the event getting underway today [Nov 7] at the Somersfield Academy field in Devonshire.

The classes offered include Novice, Open, Excellent, and Masters in Standard Agility;  Novice, Open, Excellent, and Masters in Jumpers with Weaves; and Novice, Open, and Excellent in Fast Class.

The event is set to continue on Sunday, November 8th at the Somersfield Academy field, with Kelli Verrelli from Watertown, Tennessee and Jane Mohr from Antoch, Tennessee serving as judges.

Update Nov 8, 7.04pm: The event has concluded with the highest scoring local dog in Jumpers with weaves was Denzel Allstar The Hooligan [Papillon] who is owned and handled by Maureen Burke. The highest scoring visiting dog in Jumpers with weaves was Shelwins keep N Ticken [Shetland Sheepdog] who is owned by Holly Rhodes and handled by Deb Desjardines.

The highest scoring local dog in Standard Agility was Hijackers Vitesse of Avonlea [Border Collie] who is owned and handled by Douglas Mello. The highest scoring visiting dog in Standard Agility was Shelwins keep N Ticken [Shetland Sheepdog] who is owned by Holly Rhodes and handled by Deb Desjardines. The highest scoring dog in FAST was Demerara’s Bella Donna [Black Labrador Retriever] who is owned and handled by Cathy Gosling.

  1. How we’d enjoyed partaking in the Agility Trials with our 2 Chocolate Labs. “Jax” & “Ms. Coco” Unfortunately we will not be here in Bermuda for anymore “trial” for we’re re-locating to Asia at the end of this month.
    Your company / friendship has been appreciated; and we’ve enjoyed the fun over the years :-) In-spite of the smiling face, we’ll miss everyone, too many to name…
