Man Assaulted With A Machete In Pembroke

A man was assaulted with a machete outside Belvins Store on Happy Valley Road on Friday night [April 15], and taken from the scene by private car.

A police spokesperson said, “At approximately 8:40pm on Friday police attended a report in an incident that took place on Happy Valley in Pembroke. Upon police arrive it was ascertained that a man was assaulted by a male with a machete outside Belvins Store on Happy Valley Road and taken from the scene by private car.

“Details at this point are very limited however an active investigation into this incident is now underway. Police are interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen this incident or who may have any information that may assist in this investigation to call 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers hotline number on 800 8477.”

    Obviously, there is an issue with loitering outside this store.
    Obviously, the police drive past this store every day as it is en-route to prospect police presence
    Obviously, the loitering and drinking is taking place 4 feet away from an abandoned government building associated with law enforcement
    Likely, there is alcohol being sold after 9pm
