Lee Greene said, “After 25 years in the corporate world, I felt unfulfilled. Through self-reflection, I realized that I had been ignoring my artistic self for far too long. It was at that ‘aha’ moment that my early love of art was reawakened.”

“From that day forward, I have not stopped pouring myself into my art. The result is the birth of a collection of 15 works whose medium is water-based, black acrylic marker on canvas.”

“These canvasses depict famous people in history. These are people who have made a difference in the world, either through their contribution to humanity or their musical talent.

“They are famous people whom I admire and with whom I connect. They possess qualities that I value and respect, qualities that I see within me – hence the name ‘Pieces of Me.’

“Amongst my collection you will find the likes of Martin Luther King Jr, Ghandi, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela and Nina Simone, to name just a few.

“Having no formal training or technique, my artistic expression is, in fact, a reflection of my life. My approach is to extract and create bold, black and white forms in a minimalistic way. Through simplicity comes great beauty.”
