Police Aware Of ‘Alleged Incident’ In Pembroke

The police said they are “aware of an alleged incident that apparently occurred” in the Middle Town area on Thursday, but said the “alleged incident has not been reported to police at this time.”

In response to Bernews queries about unofficial suggestions something may have occurred, a police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service is aware of an alleged incident that apparently occurred in the Middle Town, Pembroke area sometime on Thursday, December 8th.

“The alleged incident has not been reported to police at this time.

“However, any witnesses or persons with relevant information should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.”

Update: The police added that the “alleged Middle Town incident refers to an uncorroborated report of an assault on Thursday circulating on social media.”
