Bermuda Nitro Racing 8th Round Results

The eighth round of the 2016/2017 Bermuda Nitro Racing season was recently held at the South Side Race Track, with Kwaz Dill taking first place in the A Main and Joe Valadao taking first place in the B Main.

The results of the A Main saw Kwaz Dill in first, driving his Mugen Seiki Racing MBX7R, Anthony Bell in second, driving the Xray XB9, and Quincy Aberdeen in third on an Agama A215.

Kwaz Dill continued his winning ways, racking up his fifth win this season. He was also the top qualifier for the sixth time. In second place was Anthony Bell returning to the podium. This was his second, second place finish, to go along with one race win and one third place finish this season.

Quincy Aberdeen took third place. This was also a return to the podium this season, having one race win and two second place finishes this race season.

The results of the B Main saw Joe Valadao take first, driving the AE Team Associated, Aaron DeShields in second, driving the Team Losi Racing Eight 4.0, and Timer Maybury in third driving the Mugen Seiki MBX7R.

Joe Valadao and Aaron Deshields both bumped up to the A Main with the strong showing in the B Main. The racing in qualifying has been really close. With regular A Main drivers finding qualifying directly into the A main proving difficult.

In the AKA Racing Tires season standings A Main competition, Aaron DeShields is in first place on 747 points. Kwaz Dill has closed the gap slightly after another race win on 688 points.

The third place tie has been broken. Quincy Aberdeen is in third place on 668 points, after having a good race day, moving ahead of fourth place Keimon Lawrence on 667 points. Joe Valadao is still holding onto fifth place on 659 points.

In the AKA Racing Tires season standings B Main competition, Steven Fox is in the lead on 674 points. Lother Gores have moved up to second place on 565 points ahead of third place George Pacheco on 474 points.

Jordan Trott is still in fourth place on 465 Points and Jason Venning is in fifth place on 464 points, having moved past Curtis Richardson.

The next race day is Sunday, February 5.
