Photos: Airport Conditions Following Heavy Rain

January 6, 2017

“I commend the men and women serving at the airport and all Bermudians should thank them for their service under such conditions,” Minister of Tourism, Transport & Municipalities Michael Fahy said, adding that “we need a new facility asap.”

The Minister’s comments follow after photos and videos of the airport during/after yesterday’s heavy rain were posted online, showing various problems including water leaking inside.

Minister Fahy said, “Our fellow dedicated Bermudians are working in less than ideal conditions every day to keep us open for business.

“The smell is one of severe damp in many areas. Imagine what you can’t see with the naked eye. I commend the men and women serving at the airport and all Bermudians should thank them for their service under such conditions. We need a new facility asap.”
